Standing Record (What We'll Break): 68-way
Vision
Qualified wingsuit pilots from all over the globe united to safely set a new world record for largest formation.
Mission
-
Set a Wingsuit World Record for largest formation, validated by FAI-rated judges using the USPA system developed and tested over the past four years
-
Promote wingsuiting as a recognized international discipline
-
Share our accomplishment with the International Parachuting Commission and FAI
Formation Design
The formation will exit from 3 Twin Otters and 2 Skyvans, all owned and operated at Skydive Perris. A lot of work is going on behind the scenes to engineer and plan the aircraft formation, logistics, and breakoff.
Judging
The International Parachuting Commission of the FAI, the body that governs sport skydiving records, does not yet recognize wingsuiting as a skydiving discipline. However, judges will be on site to evaluate the formation based on the rules that have evolved for four years within the USPA, PASA, and unofficially around the world. The Guiness Book of World Records will also be invited to validate the achievement. Although the USPA has a rule that over half of participants on a US National record must be USPA members, no one will be excluded to maintain this ratio. Our goal is to have a truly international record.
